    About:

    Pao (say “pow”) is an all-women startup based in Boulder, Colorado. The Pao Team has spent the past two years developing an app that essentially helps you find and share the coolest spots in whatever city or country you’re in. Nowadays, we believe it is getting way too easy to experience things in the comfort of your home (YouTube, Tinder, Instagram, UberEats, etc.). Here at Pao, our vision is to inspire people to get up and go experience the real world. No more information overload, impersonal reviews, or passive scrolling through social media. Pao shows you the coolest spots, then helps you get up and go experience them.

    What we need:

    We are looking for an individual who can upload their past travels/eat, play, and stay experiences to Pao (by posting photos and writing an interesting tip that will be helpful to other users). You will create your own virtual travel diary while supplying content that our other Pao users can discover!

    In addition to creating content and spreading the word to potential users, you’ll have the optional opportunity to get involved further with Pao and learn what it’s like to work in a startup. We’ll ask you what your interests are, and cater specific tasks to what you like to do. We want you to get just as much out of this partnership as we will! You’d work anywhere from 1-3 hours a week with the Pao team. If you end up liking the tasks and do well with them, there will be an opportunity to be promoted to an internship position.

    And lastly, during quarantine we will ask you to try different virtual experiences like a cocktail making, painting, working out, cooking, or anything you might be interested in, and then documenting it for our blog.

    What will you do as a Pao Content Creator?

    • Learn how to create beautiful content on different platforms that could further your brand
    • Share your spots on Pao! (It’ll be required that you upload at least 3 spots per week)
    • Recruit new users: help us get people to download the app and spread the Pao word.
    • Optional: Weekly tasks where you will get to learn about and get insight into marketing, web design, blogging, development/feature testing, and management on a startup scale. Whatever you want to learn more about, we’ll make it happen!

    What will you get out of this position?

    ***Note: depending on the value of your contribution, there will be an opportunity for a paid position as content creator or employee down the line!***

    The Perfect person for the position is...

    • A traveler or a local city expert with tons of travel/food pics sitting in your camera roll
    • Positive: you’re enthusiastic and outgoing; you love experiencing the world
    • Creative: you have a good eye and understanding of quality photographs and content
    • Entrepreneurial: you have an innovative, problem-solving mindset. You think outside of the box
    • Adventurous: whether in their own cities or on global trips, you’re always looking for something interesting and unique to do

    Commitment:

    Dates: Start and end whenever! Ideally you would be involved with us for 2-3 months at least. Salary: Unpaid – We can work with you if you need school credit!
